Put yourself into his light

Do you like being the center of attention? How does it feel when negative things about you are brought to light in front of people? Whew, that’s tough!
In contrast, when you put yourself in God’s light, you experience how merciful, healing and liberating it is! That’s a huge difference! With him, pure love comes your way. He blesses, helps, heals and liberates.

God’s light is merciful:
God knows you to the core with all your rough edges and still loves you beyond measure! He always sees you through the lenses of love and grace, because Jesus died for you and took away all your sins! You can come to him with everything that is bothering you. He is always for you! I wish that this truth finds its way into your heart!
You can always ask him: What do you want to tell me? If you have paper and a pen at hand, you can write down what he says to you in your thoughts. You can check it afterwards and cross out everything that is not biblical or loving (these would be your own thoughts, or lies from the enemy).

The Lord is merciful and loving, slow to become angry and full of constant love.
Psalm 103:8

God’s light is liberating:
God knows your deepest secrets; the ones you don’t want anyone to see. He wants you to bring them to him into the light, so that he can free you from their power. If you dare to talk and pray openly and vulnerably with him, then these dark areas will become light and will heal. They lose their terror, you become free. You can place yourself in his light by getting to know him better. By reading the Bible regularly with the help of the Holy Spirit, you will understand more and more how well God thinks about you. You will be amazed that He is always for you and even rejoices over you. Through the Bible you will discover truths about God and about yourself.

If the Son sets you free, then you will be really free.
John 8:36

God’s light is healing:
He knows all the wounds you have received. Are you sad, bitter, or in withdrawal from the world because of them? God wants to heal these wounds. Once again: Place yourself in his light and let him show you his love, which is balsam for everything that causes you pain. He helps you to forgive. He takes your worries, your hurts, your depression and your fear and treats them with his power and his love. You can consciously immerse yourself in his goodness. As you reach out in prayer and worship, you can fill up on that love. It encourages, strengthens and changes you. Imagine how this light of love washes over you, how you take it in with all your senses and let it replenish you. (Check out this song, there is a verse: “When you pass, my heart starts beating again. The lungs stretch to breathe you in.“)

He heals the broken-hearted and bandages their wounds.
Psalm 147:3

With every move toward your mighty, wonderful God, with your gratitude, praise, and seeking, you place yourself in his presence and in his merciful, healing, and liberating light. Try it out, it’s worth it!
